Long ago, I received solid advice to always begin a project with the end in mind. To be honest, when this event began, I had no idea what was in store and the nationwide interest we would experience. We morphed from an anticipated twelve students, one teacher, and one day of weaving to a three day retreat with over twenty teachers, fifty plus classes, and close to 200 attendees! I am eternally grateful for each attendee, teacher, and vendor who has faithfully supported the weaving retreat. Each one holds a place in my heart.
But the time has come and the Weaving in the Sunshine State Basket Weaving Retreat is being parked on the sidelines. At the present time, there are no plans to continue the event.
If you were lucky enough to attend one of our annual events, I hope you mastered new techniques, made new friendships, and created cherished memories. I know I did. We laughed until we had to cry, we loved right down to our last goodbye. You all were the BEST!
Each prior year's information will continue to be hosted on my www.BrightExpectationsBaskets.com website and accessed by the drop down menu.
Should another person or group have an interest in reviving the retreat, feel free to contact me through the button below.
Ecclesiastes 3: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them. A time for embracing, keeping, speaking, loving. Everything is beautiful in its own time. I know there is nothing better for people to be happy and to do good while they live. There is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work.
