Choosing Color Combinations

It’s sometimes hard to choose an accent color for a new basket you are weaving. It’s even more difficult to select multiple colors that complement each other and don’t clash. Plus, did you know that 1 in 12 men (which is why wives have to pick out their husband’s clothes, lol) and 1 in 200 women have some degree of color blindness? People with the most severe forms of color blindness (or color deficiency) can only tell about 20 hues apart from each other. Compare that to the normal color vision which can distinguish more than 100 different hues. So...

I would say that I am an adventurous and self-taught craftsman (well, crafts"woman"). I have always been anxious to learn a new hobby. But when I wove that first basket in 2011, I was totally hooked. When I picked up the reed and found that it could be manipulated and worked into so many different shapes, sizes, and designs, I was fascinated. The functionality of a beautiful basket is endless. If you are here reading this, you have made it to my *seriously* revamped website, Bright Expectations Baskets. If it were not for the tech savvy neighbor and friend I have, I wouldn't be chatting to you right now via cyberspace.
